Mount Vernon Leadership Academy holds No Place for Hate anti-bullying assembly

Mount Vernon Leadership Academy held its No Place for Hate (NPFH) “Stomp Out Bullying” assembly on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Grades two through six attended the presentation, which was run by student ambassadors for NPFH. The ambassadors at MVLA are Crislenny Acosta, eight-grade student at MVLA; Nathan Friday, seventh-grade student; and Jordyn Browns, fifth-grade student.

The scholars learned about what it means to become an Upstander, someone who does what they think is right and stands up for their beliefs instead of standing by. They also answered questions about the types of bullying and what they can do to end the cycle of bullying.
